The news is not about Superstar Rajinikanth's next film 'Kochadaiyaan', in which Anushka Shetty is expected to play an important role. It is about a movie that is to be made on 3D by popular Malayalam film director Vinayan, inspired by a very famous novel.
According to the film sources, the film tentatively titled as 'Dracula 2012' is based on the novel penned by Bram Stoker and Vinayan wanted to have Anushka as the lead for the film. The director watched 'Arundhati' and was impressed with the actress's performance in the film.
So when Vinayan approached Anushka to do the film, she immediately expressed her interest to act in such a big project. "But she has to work out on her dates as she is already committed more than half-a-dozen projects in Kollywood and Tollywood," say sources.
Vinayan's 'Dracula 2012' is tipped to made using state-of-the-technology. He is planning to make the movie simultaneously in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, considering the actress's popularity in South India.
